Okay, guys, let's get this thing rolling!
Based on the earlier poll, it looks like the best thing all around will be to watch one episode a week, with a discussion post going up every Friday night. Once we get a groove going we can set up a schedule and start passing the responsibility around, but I'll do the first couple until we get situated. Also, every Monday, I'll try to put some resources up under flock for those whose Netflix queues are running behind.
Likewise based on the earlier poll, if you have a friend or two who you think might be interested, by all means, point hir in this direction. I'm hoping this will be a fairly easygoing comm and it's looking pretty small at this point, so all I ask is that people be interested in the show and willing to behave themselves, no stringent rules of conduct to adhere to at the moment.
As for our viewing schedule, I'll do a separate post with a season timeline, but as far as the immediate question goes, the first discussion post goes up next Friday, June 18. We'll be watching in broadcast order rather than production order so the plot actually makes sense (easy enough, it's the order they're in on the DVDs), so we're starting with "Midnight on the Firing Line."
If you guys are interested, we can also take a look at the pilot or prequel movies, but they're harder to get ahold of, a bit disjointed from the subsequent show, and not necessary to the story, so I'm thinking that should be a bonus thing that we do at the season break or something. Thoughts?
Also, in re: the theme, I am epic lazy and grabbed a decent default. If anyone has a strong opinion or, even better, some ambition, input is welcome.
